Master's programmes for international students

Master's programmes at the School of World Politics are aimed at training highly qualified specialists in international relations with a wide range of theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Foreign citizens can enroll in one of the five programmes:

The Programme Director is Prof. A. A. Kokoshin, head of the Chair of International Security at the School of World Politics.

The main research area is modern threats and challenges to international security. Professional competencies of graduates include an understanding of international relations logic and the basics of international conflict regulation, as well as knowledge of factors affecting the relations of macro regions in the world.

The Programme Director is Prof. G.G.Kosach, Doctor of Science in History.

The programme is aimed at training specialists in international relations with an in-depth knowledge of regional issues of world politics and involves a combination of theoretical training of students with a wide range of case studies reflecting regional specific features.

The Programme Director is LMSU Professor Emeritus L.V.Minaeva, head of International Communication Department.

Communication is increasingly at the centre of human activity and crucial to the success of individual professionals and their organizations. The innovative nature of the programme is provided by the integration of European and Russian expertise into the educational process The goal is to equip students with the skills that they can design and execute effective international strategic communication  projects in world politics, business and non-profit sector.

The Programme Director is Andrey Anatolievich Sidorov, Dean of School of World Politics, head of Chair of International Organizations and World Political Processes, Associate Professor, PhD in History.

The innovative programme in Economic Diplomacy enjoys an integrated approach introducing students to political, economic and legal studies in the scope of international relations. The programme focuses on the use of economic tools and potential of a state while promoting national interests and achieving foreign political goals.

 

The programme director is Professor Tatiana G. Dobrosklonskaya, Doctor of Philology, Honorary Professor of the Beijing University of International Cooperation.

This new programme is supported by Russia Today media holding. It is aimed at master students willing to understand the media-information sphere of world politics and international relations: the techniques of information and psychological impact in the context of contemporary hybrid war, the creation of topical media content, the activities of information agencies in the world media space, etc.

The programme director is Mikhail Iosifovich Krotov, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Deputy Executive Secretary of the CSTO PA, Doctor of Economics.

The purpose of the programme is to train qualified specialists in the field of promoting the development of Eurasian integration, building constructive and mutually beneficial economic, political and humanitarian ties with the CIS countries.
