LOMONOSOV WORLD POLITICS JOURNAL
A peer-reviewed scholarly journal on international relations and world politics
Aims and Scope
Lomonosov World Politics Journal was established at the School of World Politics, Lomonosov Moscow State University, in 2009. It was aimed at promoting professional and open exchange of views among international relations experts from Lomonosov Moscow State University and other leading Russian centers for IR studies. Through the constant and intensive dialogue with our authors and reviewers during the following 10 years the editorial board has managed not only to develop a unique and recognizable journal identity but also to specify its aims and niche within the system of peer-reviewed journals on international relations. Lomonosov World Politics Journal pursues a two-folded aim. On the one hand it aims to promote in a systematic and comprehensive manner the views of the Russian IR experts on both the history of international relations and current issues of world politics. To this end the editorial board is primarily focused on highlighting the research findings of the leading Russian think-tanks, research centers and laboratories under the rubric ‘Focal Point’ or within special thematic issues of the Journal. On the other hand, the Journal welcomes the submissions from foreign scholars specializing in the study of history and contemporary role of Russia in the system of international relations.
The target audience of the Journal includes international researchers, political scientists, teachers, post-graduate students and students of higher education institutions.
The Journal publishes original researches, but also expert commentaries from Russian foreign policy-makers, educational materials as well as review essays and reviews of the latest works in international relations. The Journal covers the following thematic areas: theory of international relations, international security, international political economy, international integration, regional issues of world politics, history of international relations, foreign policy of the Russian Federation and the Post-Soviet states, international development cooperation, and public diplomacy.
