Events Dilemmas of Strengthening

On October 22, 2019, the CSDS organized the Section "International Assistance as a Factor in Ensuring Security and Development in the XXI century" in partnership with the Russian Association of International Development Assistance Experts (RAIDAE) within the XII Convention of the Russian International Studies Association at MGIMO University.

On April 18, 2019 the Center for Security and Development Studies and the Center for Arab and Islamic Studies of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences organized a joint roundtable entitled “Helping Syrian Refugees: Humanitarian, Economic and Political Aspects” as a part of the Academic Conference “Lomonosov Readings-2019” International Relations Section program. More than 20 experts from leading universities (Lomonosov Moscow State University, National Research University Higher School of Economics, Russian State University for the Humanities) and research institutions (Institute of Oriental Studies, Institute of Europe, Institute of the US and Canadian Studies, Institute for African Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences) took part in this event.

BUILDING THE FUTURE OF THE MIDDLE EAST

On June 26, 2018 the CSDS in cooperation with the Center for Arab and Islamic Studies (CAIS) of the Institute of Oriental Studies RAS held a workshop panel “Reconstruction of Iraq: underlying logic and role of foreign actors” as part of realization of the project “Dilemmas of Strengthening State Resilience in the Middle East and North Africa in the Context of New Threats to Peace, Security, Global and Regional Stability” supported with a grant from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (project №17-37-01018).

The CSDS in cooperation with the Center for Arab and Islamic Studies (CAIS) of the Institute of Oriental Studies RAS held a round table discussion as part of realization of the project “Dilemmas of Strengthening State Resilience in the Middle East and North Africa in the Context of New Threats to Peace, Security, Global and Regional Stability” supported with a grant from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (project №17-37-01018).

The Center for Security and Development Studies (CSDS) of the School of World Politics at the MSU in cooperation with the Center for Arab and Islamic Studies (CAIS) of the Institute of Oriental Studies RAS held an adjusting workshop panel as part of realization of the project “Dilemmas of Strengthening State Resilience in the Middle East and North Africa in the Context of New Threats to Peace, Security, Global and Regional Stability” supported with a grant from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research in 2017 (project №17-37-01018).
