On March 27, 2019 the CSDS Research Fellow Altunay Aliyeva made a presentation ''The 'safe zone' in the northern Syria: Turkey's plans and prospects of their implementation through interaction with the USA and Russia'' at the international conference "The Greater Middle East Countries in Russian Foreign Policy Strategy" (26-27 March, 2019), organized by the Saint-Petersburg State University.
The CSDS Research Fellow Altunay Aliyeva presented her report on "The Legal Status of Syrian Refugees in the Republic of Turkey" at the 16th Blischenko Congress, organized by the RUDN University.
The CSDS Research Fellow Altunay Aliyeva took a part at a round table discussion with Numan Kurtulmuş, Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism, on ‘Soft’ and ‘Smart Power’ in Russia-Turkey relations. The event was organized by the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) with the support from the Embassy of Turkey to Russia.
The CSDS Research Fellow Altunay Aliyeva presented her report on "The Syrian refugees issue in the domestic and foreign policy of the Republic of Turkey" at the annual conference "Economic, Socio-Political, Ethno-Confessional Issues of Asian and African Countries: to the 90th Anniversary of L.I. Reisner", organized by the Institute of Oriental Studies, RAS.

The CSDS held a workshop panel “Fragile states” in a Contemporary Architecture of the International Development Assistance”. The CSDS experts presented their achievements of the current year in the course of realization of the project “Evolution of Leading International Actors' Approaches to Security-Development Nexus in the Context of Transformation of Global System: Analysis and Prognosis” supported with a grant from the Russian Scientific Foundation (project №15-18-30066).
The CSDS Research Fellow Altunay Aliyeva presented her paper "Turkey during the rule of Justice and Development Party: a view from Washington" at the conference «Political transformation in the Muslim East: the experience of Turkey and other countries» held by Institute of Oriental Studies RAS.
