The article discusses the nexus between the security and development issues in the context of the migration crisis in the EU in 2015. The author focuses on the consequences for the security and prosperity of the EU that the migration crisis causes, as well as on the EU's efforts in coping with the crisis, including by working together with the countries of origin and transit of migrants in Africa and the Middle East.
